Taco Bell made this new thing called the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco. Is it a sandwich? Is it a taco? Even we didn’t know. But everyone had an opinion.

So we turned to the best opinion-havers in the biz: real college debate students.

Students from the University of Clemson debate team took up the mantle of Team Taco.

The University and Georgia debate team argued for Team Sandwich.

The unscripted debate aired during the ginormous football game between the two schools on ABC during the first weekend of the season.

We launched with a minute long spot in the first quarter.

We aired it in the first spot of the first commercial break so that it would feel just like a part of the broadcast of the game.

But something this divisive couldn’t be settled that quickly. So in the second quarter our debate returned with more spicy takes.

And then in the fourth we delivered the only thrilling finish the audience would be seeing that day (turns out Clemson’s football team wasn’t so hot that year).
